Edit an existing video with Seedance 2.5 through the SJinn REST API

Tool Overview

Use seedance25-video-edit-api to change, replace, remove, or redo content in an existing video, including its final shot. The output follows the source video's duration and aspect ratio. To append new content after the source, use Seedance 2.5 Extend Video.

Create tasks with POST https://sjinn.ai/api/un-api/create_tool_task, using an API key in Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. An active membership and sufficient credits are required.

Parameters

Set tool_type to seedance25-video-edit-api and provide these fields in input:

All media URLs must be complete, publicly accessible HTTP/HTTPS URLs. Do not send duration, ratio, aspect_ratio, or mode; these fields are rejected. The server detects the source duration before charging credits.

The billed duration is the source duration rounded up to the next whole second: ceil(source_duration) × resolution rate. For example, editing a 5.2-second video at 720P costs 6 × 350 = 2100 credits.

Poll Query Task Status with the returned task_id. A successful task returns video URLs in data.output_urls. Task records retain task_type: "seedance25-video-edit-api".

The existing seedance25-video-api with input.mode: "edit" remains supported; that legacy form requires an explicit resolution.
