Upscale a completed Seedance 2.5 480P Draft to 1080P through the SJinn REST API

Tool Overview

Use seedance25-upscale-api to turn a completed Seedance 2.5 480p-draft into a 1080P video. The output inherits the original draft's prompt, references, duration, and aspect ratio.

Create tasks with POST https://sjinn.ai/api/un-api/create_tool_task, using an API key in Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. An active membership and sufficient credits are required.

Parameters

Set tool_type to seedance25-upscale-api and provide these fields in input:

The draft must be less than 7 days old, measured from its creation time. Drafts from Seedance 2.5 generation, edit, and extend API tasks, as well as Seedance 2.5 tool-mode results, are supported.

Use the original SJinn task ID, not a video URL or a provider task ID. Regular 480p, 720p, and 1080p results cannot be used. Do not send prompt, duration, reference URLs, ratio, provider, or other generation parameters; unsupported fields are rejected.

Pricing

Upscaling costs ceil(saved draft duration × 850) credits. The duration comes from the original task record and cannot be overridden in the request. For API edit drafts, this is the source duration rounded up to a whole second.

Draft creation and upscaling are separate charges:

  • A 5-second draft costs 850 credits; its 1080P upscale costs an additional 4,250 credits.
  • An API edit draft from a 5.2-second source is billed for 6 seconds: 1,020 credits for the draft and an additional 5,100 credits for the upscale.

If upscaling fails, its charge is refunded. The original completed draft remains available and its charge is retained.

Request Example

First create a draft using resolution: "480p-draft" in generation, edit, or extend. Wait until its task status is 1 (completed), then submit:

The returned task_id belongs to the new upscale task. Poll Query Task Status with this new ID. A successful task returns video URLs in data.output_urls and task_type: "seedance25-upscale-api".
